Here are the public comment “virtual” instructions for Camarillo and Thousand Oaks for next week.
(When the meeting dates get closer for the BOS and Simi meetings , those instructions will be sent as well.)
THEY NEED TO HEAR FROM THE PEOPLE. Let me know if you need a public comment, but I did give you some good talking points on my last e-mail based on the current situation.
Thousand Oaks Speaker Card: (July 7)
Although, the instructions didn’t say how many minutes, they usually allow 3 minutes unless there are A LOT of public comments.
Camarillo Public comment options: (July 8)
a. Email – You may submit comments on a specific agenda item via email to the City Clerk at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please send your email at least one hour prior to the start of the meeting. The City Clerk will print your email and distribute copies to all Directors prior to the meeting.
b. Phone – You may contact the City Clerk’s Office at (805)388-5397, or by email email@example.com, at least one hour prior to the start of the meeting and provide your name, your phone number and your item of interest. When the Board reaches your item of interest on the agenda, we will call you at the phone number you provided during the time for public comments. Your comments will be limited to three minutes.
Please note there is a category on the City Council Agenda specifically related to items regarding the Local Emergency. The City Council will begin addressing those items (XIV Local Emergency) at 6:30 p.m.
